Boating Fun, Swimming, and Kayaking
Scofield Reservoir is a popular location for various water sports. Your family will enjoy the 2,800 acres of open water to play on. The boat launch is at the State Park on east side. Learn more about Scofield State Park by visiting their website.
Hiking, Biking, Horseback Riding, Motorcycling, and ATVs
Scofield Mountain Estates is one of the few places between the reservoir and 1.4MM acres of the Manti-La Sal National Forest and many miles of OHV trails. Your family can explore this beautiful national forest just off Pondtown Road on our east side. This road connects to the famed Skyline Drive that connects to HWY 6 and many miles to the south.

Lake and Stream Fishing
Scofield Reservoir is one of Utah’s favorite fisheries. Stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout, there are many opportunities to catch dinner for the family. You will also enjoy stream fishing in the local favorite Pondtown Creek and Upper Fish Creek.

Hunting and Photographing Wildlife
Scofield Mountain Estates is home to some of the largest wildlife in Utah. The stealthy photographer will enjoy capturing shots of the elk, deer, and moose located in the nearby mountains and valleys. Adjacent properties are part of the Scofield West Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit (CWMU), one the best hunting preserves in the state.
Winter Activities
With year-round access, winter a great time to visit and play in the snow. Pondtown Road, just off the subdivision is groomed all winter long and is amazing for snowmobiling. Ice fishing is very popular as well as snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. OR you can just sit in your cabin and enjoy your cozy fire and sip hot cocoa. Snow Skiing Nearby
There’s a reason why Utah is known for “The Greatest Snow on Earth.” Scofield is only about 2 hours from most Salt Lake City and Park City ski resorts. Sundance Ski Resort is the closest and is only about an hour and a half away from the Reservoir.
Other Nearby Attractions
Known for its majestic national parks, Utah holds many national treasures, and Scofield is only 2 and a half hours away from Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. These scenic parks have some of the most spectacular rock formations, including Utah’s famous delicate arch.
Moab is a mountain bike, Jeep safari, and rock climber mecca. It also hosts many art festivals, and a popular half-marathon each year. Please visit Moab, Utah to see all the other activities, hotels, and restaurants they have to offer.
